THE CONCEPT

A residence that pivots on a single dramatic gesture: a floor-to-ceiling black veined marble fireplace column that divides the open living space like a geological exclamation mark. Against this anchor, everything else stays disciplined — cream leather seating, walnut surfaces, and pale stone floors.

The kitchen's fluted island base and sinuous LED pendant prove that restraint and personality are not opposites.
